This full-time position is located in our office at Franklin Square, NY. Our office is opened from Monday through Friday. Must be available to work Saturdays on a rotational schedule.
Summary:
Looking for a highly motivated, team oriented Personal Lines Broker who will assist in the servicing and issuing personal lines accounts which includes: auto, homeowners, renters, personal articles and umbrella insurance policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Directly responsible for independently maintaining his/her workload, which includes the following:
Efficiently performs the functions of a personal lines broker which includes initiating and following up with clients and carriers to resolve conflicts, answer questions, correspondence and reports.
Prepares and processes documents such as proposals, applications, ID Cards, premium invoices, policies, renewals, certificates, changes, cancellations, binders, etc.
Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and performs daily functions with accuracy and efficiency to prevent agency errors & omissions.
Creates and maintains detailed task notes through our agency management platform.
Ability to generate sales by identifying cross-sell opportunities within existing book of business as well as new potential prospects

Education and/or Experience:
College Degree Required
New York State Property & Casualty Agent’s License preferred, however, we encourage and provide training and licensing support.
No prior insurance experience required.
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
